Diving

Today I went diving with the NTNUI diving group! It was my first time diving with a dry suit, but I was amazed at how well it went! The suit was a bit uncomfortable at first, but I soon got used to it. The water was only 5 degrees, so naturally we had to wear a lot of warm clothes underneath. Even with 4 layers of wool underneath I still got slightly cold during the 36min dive, but nothing serious. At the deepest we were at approx 17.3 meters, with an average depth of 11.1 meters. The visibility was rather varied, ranging from just a few meters to approx 6-7. Although we didn't see any fish, we saw some huge crabs, starfish and some beautiful orange sea anemones. The people were very friendly, and the trip was a great success!

In other news: version 0.2 of alarm-applet is coming along smoothly now. Last night I managed to fix a showstopper of a bug which I've been struggling with for a while. The applet has received an almost complete rewrite with a lot of new nifty features. Expect the release in a couple of weeks from now!
